Frequently Asked Questions
How can I get personalized eco-friendly living advice?
Send us an email with your specific situation, whether you are moving to Hungary, looking for zero waste shops in your district, or wanting recommendations for sustainable products. We reply based on our own experience and research. There is no charge for this.
Do you sell products or offer services?
No. EcoHungary is purely an informational resource. We do not sell products, offer consulting services, or handle bookings. Our role is to provide the knowledge and recommendations you need to make your own sustainable choices. When we mention products or shops, we include links so you can connect with them directly.
Are your recommendations sponsored?
No. EcoHungary is editorially independent. We do not accept payment for reviews, listings, or recommendations. When we suggest a market, shop, or product, it is because our team has personally tested it and genuinely recommends it based on sustainability criteria, quality, and value.
How often is the content updated?
We review and update all guides at least twice a year, typically in spring and autumn. Prices, operating hours, and product availability are verified during each update cycle. The most recent comprehensive review was completed in February 2026.
Can I contribute to EcoHungary?
We welcome contributions from sustainability practitioners, local experts, and environmentally conscious residents or visitors. If you have firsthand knowledge of sustainable living practices in Hungary that could improve our guides, please email stories@jotiycaggado.eu with your idea. We credit all contributors.
What is the best starting point for eco-friendly living in Hungary?
We recommend starting with our Zero Waste Living guide, which covers the simplest first steps like switching to reusable bags, understanding the recycling system, and finding package-free shops. From there, our sustainable food markets guide helps you transition to more locally sourced food.
